Exploring Nature: Grants for Natural Heritage Projects

Arts, Culture and Heritage

10 October 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Are you part of a group or organisation with an interest in running your own nature project? Do you need funding support for your idea but are not sure where to get started?

The National Lottery Heritage Fund are running a free webinar to support groups and organisations based in the North West of England that are interested in applying for funding for nature projects.

There are plenty of things that National Lottery Heritage funding could be used for. For example, projects could:

• Improve the condition of a local habitat

• Help people learn new skills to identify and monitor wildlife

• Host activities to connect the community with a nearby nature spot

• Encourage people to explore the great outdoors to improve their health and wellbeing And much, much more…

Throughout the ‘Exploring Nature’ webinar, team members from the Fund will give advice on what makes a good nature project, talk about what other successfully funded projects did and walk through the process of applying for a grant between £3,000 to £100,000. There will also be opportunities to ask questions to team members. Not sure whether this webinar is for you?

Remember:

• You don’t need to have a project idea to join the webinar. The session will have lots of ideas and examples to help inspire you.

• No previous funding experience is necessary. This webinar is for organisations and groups with little or no experience of National Lottery Heritage funding.

• The group/organisation you represent does not need to be nature-focused.

You might represent a parish council, a youth group or even a local charity. All we want to see is that you are passionate about nature and the environment!

Registration Details If you are based in the North West of England, please join us on Thursday 27th October: Get your tickets from Ticket Source.

North West: Thursday 27th October, 2.00 – 4.00pm, Online.
