Funding for Innovators Developing Products or Services to Benefit People Living with Dementia

Health & Social Welfare

26 September 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

This programme invests in innovations to improve the lives of people in the UK who are affected by dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Society Accelerator Programme is open to engineers, designers, developers, innovators and entrepreneurs with an idea for a product or service that will change the lives of people affected by dementia.

The idea could be a simple product that makes an ordinary task easier for a person living with dementia. For example, applicants may have an innovative idea for a new service or way of working for care home staff.

The programme offers a year-long partnership including:

  • Investment up to a value of £100,000.
  • An expert ‘innovation buddy’ from the Alzheimer’s Society to develop ideas.
  • An opportunity to test a product or service with people affected by dementia.

Applications are sought from UK based teams or individuals at any stage of the product development journey, from an idea that needs testing through to proven products that require support to maximise their reach.

The deadline for applications is 25 October 2022.

How To Apply

Applications are being accepted from 20 September 2022 until 25 October 2022.

Applications are made online.

Further information is available from the Alzheimer's Society website.
