GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) IMPACT Awards Open for 2023 Round

Health & Social Welfare

04 July 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

The annual awards scheme for charities improving health and wellbeing is now accepting applications.

Small and medium charities in the UK can now apply to the GSK Impact Awards for 2023.

This year, up to 10 winners will receive £40,000, with one overall winner receiving an extra £10,000. Additionally, up to five runners-up will receive £4,000.

Award winners will also be offered training and development valued at an average of £9,500 and have a film made about their work.

Eligible charities must:

  • Have existed for a minimum of three years by the application deadline.
  • Have a total annual income of between £120,000 and £3 million as shown in their most recent accounts.
  • Be independently constituted from any national umbrella organisation.
  • Target community health needs in the UK. Community can be defined as a geographical community or a community of interest.
  • Have a track record of achievement in community health issues.

The Awards recognise excellence in existing work and do not seek to fund new projects. Award winners can decide how they spend the money.

The deadline for Stage One applications is 5pm on 1 September 2022.

How To Apply

There is a two-stage application process:

  • Stage one, deadline 1 September 2022 at 5pm. Successful applicants will be contacted by 22 September 2022.
  • Stage two, deadline 10 October 2022 at 5pm. Notifications are expected in February 2023.

The guidelines and the online application form are available from the King's Fund website.
