A process to apply for charitable funds to totalling more than £80,000 for community projects is now in place.
Applications are invited for projects that will further partnership working or improve care for people or communities most impacted by health inequalities.
The funds are from legacy monies donated to community services prior to the merger of Cumbria Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) with North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust. CPFT pooled these funds and have worked in collaboration with Cumbria Community Foundation (CCF) with the aim of maximising the use of the funds and to support with future growth and development.
The three funds available are:
Cumbria wide fund for training and development opportunities
Applications will need to show how the training/activity will further partnership working and / or develop an individual’s skills to deliver improved services and positive impact on those communities and patients most impacted by health inequalities.
North Cumbria wide fund for diabetes related projects (Freda Graham Legacy)
For projects, activities, equipment that can provide benefit to the health and well-being of people with diabetes and / or carers and families or that support the prevention of diabetes.
Integrated Care Community Funds
8 x Integrated Care Community (ICC) focused funds to deliver health & care projects that support partnership working and deliver services and/or support to communities most impacted by health inequalities.
Who can apply?
- Staff working for North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust
- Staff working in any partner organisation delivering health and care services in North Cumbria
- Staff working in a third sector organisation (voluntary, community, charitable and social enterprises)
- People from the community (linked to one of the above organisations)
