Funding for Community Fridges to increase their social and environmental impact.
As part of its partnership with the Co-op, Starbucks Foundation and Rothschild Foundation, Hubbub will be launching a new Community Fridge Food Hub Fund to expand community-based food activity provision.
Constituted non-profit organisations in the UK can apply for the funding providing they:
- Are operating a Community Fridge which is currently open to the public.
- Are registered members of the Community Fridge Network.
50 grants of £6,000 will be available to cover activities which fall into at least one of the following categories:
- Skills - providing access to training and knowledge-building activities.
- Affordable food - supporting collaborative purchasing and/or local food retail.
- Community Connection - providing opportunities for communities to come together around food.
- Growing - increasing the amount of food grown locally.
There will be a Q&A webinar on 20 October 2022, 1pm to 2pm.
The fund will open on 3 October 2022 and close at 23.59 on 7 November 2022.
