Young people across the UK can apply for an award, comprising a grant, tailored business support and a living allowance, to make their business idea a reality.
The aim of the Young Innovators Awards is to find young people with viable business ideas who have the potential to become future leaders in innovation and successful entrepreneurs. The Awards will support over 300 young people by 2023 through annual competitions.
Applicants can apply for a share of up to £1.4 million. Each successful Young Innovators Award winner can claim a grant that includes £5,000 for project costs and a living allowance based on two days (15 hours) of work.
Innovate UK is looking for business ideas that are innovative, so they must address a problem, be different and significantly better than what is currently on offer including from existing businesses.
This competition is open to single applicants only. The applicant must be a UK resident who has the right to work in the UK, or will have the right to work in the UK at the time of the Award. They must be aged between 18 and 30 on the date of competition closing.
Applications open on 13 June 2022. The deadline to apply is 27 July 2022 (11:00 BST).
