#iwill Fund Offering Next Round of Youth Social Action Grants

Children & Young People

03 October 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Funding to allow young people the chance to make a difference in their communities.

Made possible by a £66 million joint investment from the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), the #iwill Fund is a UK-wide initiative aimed at empowering young people aged 10 to 14.

Now in its third year, the purpose of the #iwill Fund is to create opportunities for young people to get involved in social action by developing their skills and potential, and in their communities where they gain the confidence to make a positive contribution.

UK Community Foundations are delivering this round of the programme, which will see grants of up to £10,000 distributed to non-profit groups across the country.

16 Community Foundations will award grants for year-long youth projects. In past rounds, these have included intergenerational volunteering programmes, environmental initiatives and involving young people in the design and delivery of community activities.

Participating Foundations are expected to launch their funds on 3 October 2022.

Groups should visit their local Community Foundation website for more information.

How To Apply

Each community foundation has its own grant-making timetables, and the various funds administered by UK Community Foundations often have different application deadlines.

Applications should be made to the respective local community foundation.  Details of local community foundations can be found on the UK Community Foundation's website.
