Funding to support forcibly displaced people and their host communities to respond and adapt to climate change.
Established by Tony Clark in 1970, the JAC Trust is committed to supporting vulnerable and marginalised people whilst also promoting environmental recovery and protection.
Three-year grants of up to £60,000 in total are available for projects which:
- Deliver tangible improvements in the quality of life of the people with whom the Trust works.
- Have a positive impact on the natural environment (protection or restoration).
- Focus on one forcibly displaced people and their host communities.
Preference will be given to proposals that foster, or already demonstrate, a positive engagement between displaced people and their host communities.
Registered non-profit organisations based in the UK or abroad may apply, providing they have an annual income of less than £10 million and can demonstrate a strong link to the communities they serve.
The deadline to apply is 14 March 2022.
How To Apply
Stage 1 applications must be submitted through the website by the deadline of midnight on 14 March 2022.
There is a two-stage application process.
- The Stage 1 form requests basic information on the applying organisation and asks the following questions:
- What is the problem you want to address?
- What will you do?
- What result do you expect?
- Stage 2 is only open to organisations that have been invited to complete a full proposal as well as submitting documentation.
All applications must be submitted through the Trust’s online system that opens four weeks before the application deadline.
