Training providers in England can apply for funding to offer training for people working in the energy efficiency, retrofit and low carbon heating sectors.
The Home Decarbonisation Skills Training Competition has been created to fund training for people working, or who want to work, in the energy efficiency, building retrofit and low carbon heating sectors.
The competition invites organisations to submit proposals for delivering skills training and support to installers and installer organisations within the retrofit sector. The aim is to increase supply chain capacity, both in terms of volume and skill level.
Up to £9.2 million will be available as grant funding for a range of suppliers to deliver accredited training. A maximum of £1 million will be available for each project. The number of projects funded will depend on the range of solutions proposed and the quality of the proposals received.
This competition is open to training providers in England, including Further Education colleges, training academies, and manufacturer training centres. Applications from consortia are welcome.
Training provision delivered as a result of the competition should be targeted at trainees based in England.
The deadline for applications to be submitted is 17 October 2022.
