Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

Nationwide Building Society Welcomes Applications for Community Grants Programme

Funding for local community housing projects across the UK.

Housing-focused groups in the UK can now apply for grants to deliver projects which align with at least one of Nationwide's three outcomes:

Preventing people from losing their home.
Helping people in a home.
Supporting people to thrive within the home environment.

Grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 are on offer, over a period of either one or two years.

Applications will be accepted from the following types of charitable organisations:

UK Charities registered with the Charity Commission or OSCR.
Community Benefit Societies or Cooperatives registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Community Land Trusts registered with a charity commission in the UK, the FCA or with Companies House as a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee.

Nationwide will fund between 50% to 100% of the total project cost.

The deadline to apply is 27 May 2022.
