Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

NatWest and Meta Launch Scheme for Female Business Owners with Imminent Deadline

Fifty UK women-led businesses will be awarded prizes to aid their business growth, including a creative session with digital experts, training, mentorship and networking opportunities.

Created by Meta, alongside NatWest, the #SheMeansBusiness programme aims to celebrate women in business ‘going above and beyond’ to succeed across the UK.

The initiative will support a community of female entrepreneurs to enable connections, peer-to-peer support and inspiration.

Fifty women business owners be selected to win a package of support which is intended to aid their business growth, including £1,000 worth of Meta ad credits, a creative session with digital experts, mentorship and networking opportunities, financial and digital skills training.

Small female operated businesses based in the United Kingdom for at least one year will be eligible. Applicants must be 18 years old or older. They must have a Facebook business account ‘in good standing’ from the time of entry and through the awarding of any prize(s).

The deadline for applications is 19 May 2022.
