Funding is available to support UK video games development, aimed at helping smaller companies get concepts into production.
The UK Games Fund is intended to support UK video games development. Aimed at helping smaller companies get concepts off the drawing board and into production, the fund will provide additional support to the video games sector, helping to maximise the contribution to economic growth this sector is already delivering.
The fund will offer grants to support video games projects, as well as creating jobs, nurturing talent and increasing the number of new games IPs in the UK.
Applications are now being taken for the ninth round of the Fund, with grant support for independent UK-based game development studios of up to £25,000 on offer.
To apply for grant support, UK-based established independent SME studios must complete a two-stage application: eligible applicants are invited to submit a written application as well as upload a maximum two minute pitch video.
Round 9 is now open. The deadline for submissions is Thursday 23 June 2022 (10:00 BST).
