Arts Council England Releases Details of Queen’s Jubilee Fund

Arts, Culture and Heritage Funding

13 December 2021/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Funding for not-for-profit groups delivering creative and cultural activities which commemorate the Platinum Jubilee in England.

Voluntary and community organisations with charitable aims will soon be able to apply for their share of a new £5 million fund in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Let’s Create Platinum Jubilee Fund will provide grants of between £750 and £10,000 for activities which celebrate the Jubilee whilst also involving local people and communities.

Projects must engage with at least one of the artforms supported by Arts Council England, which are:

  • Music.
  • Theatre.
  • Dance.
  • Visual arts.
  • Literature.
  • Combined arts – including festivals and carnivals.
  • Museum and library activities.

Projects can begin from 1 April 2022 so that preparation such as rehearsals may take place. Public-facing activity should take place in June near the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend.

Groups are encouraged to partner with an artist, creative or cultural organisation that has been in receipt of ACE funding within the last four years to help to deliver the project. This is not essential, but it is expected that the largest awards grants (£5,000 to £10,000) will involve this type of partnership.

Applications will open on 4 January 2022 with deadlines published on local Community Foundation websites across the UK.

How To Apply

Groups should refer to their local Community Foundation for details of the closing date in their area.

Full guidelines and online application forms can be found on the relevant local Community Foundation website.
