Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust Opens for Round 1 Applications

Arts, Culture and Heritage

02 February 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Funding to support UK charities working with those who face the greatest challenges in society.

In line with its 2022 focus on the Arts, the Trust’s first round gives priority to projects supporting performers and creatives in the early stages of their career and responding directly to the impacts of COVID-19 on the sector.

Registered charities working in the Arts across the UK can apply for grants of up to £1,000, providing they have an annual income of between £100,000 and £2 million.

Applicants should note that the Trust very rarely awards grants to local charities which are not known to any of the Trustees.

The deadline to apply for this round is 28 February 2022.

How To Apply

There will be four grant rounds in 2022. The application window for:

  • Round 1 will close on 28 February 2022.
  • Round 2 will open on 1 April 2022 and close on 30 April 2022.
  • Round 3 will open on 1 July 2022 and close on 31 July 2022.
  • Round 4 will open on 1 September 2022 and close on 30 September 2022.

Application forms are available to complete online at the Trust's website. The Trust no longer accepts applications submitted by post.

Applicants should first read the guidelines and FAQs before starting the application process.

Charities can only apply for one round per calendar year.

The Trust publishes a list of successful applicants after the trustee meetings. Those who have received funding will find their name on the Trust's website in the 'Successful Applicants' section.

Contact the Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust by email for further information. The Trust does not accept telephone calls.
