BBC Children in Need Pauses Main and Small Grants Programmes

Funding News

14 January 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

The two programmes are under review and temporarily closed to new applicants.

Owing to the development of a new strategy for grant making, the Children in Need Main and Small Grants programmes are now paused until September 2022.

The new strategy, set to launch in Spring 2022, will:

  • Improve accessibility, equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Make it easier for projects to apply for funding.
  • Focus on the needs of children and young people.
  • Remain UK-wide, but place emphasis on working with local communities across the country.

BBC Children in Need will continue to support all funded organisations and other ongoing grant making programmes.

It is expected that new funding streams related to targeted and partnership funding activity will launch in the meantime.

Further details will be released from Spring 2022.
