Health & Social Welfare

07 February 2023/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Awards celebrating grassroots organisations tackling poverty in Great Britain.

The 2023 application window for the Centre for Social Justice Awards is now open.

This year, instead of the usual £10,000, four winners will each win £20,000 to scale up their impact.

Each year, the award judges look for organisations that:

  • Focus their work in the most deprived areas of the UK.
  • Tackle the root causes of poverty.
  • Intervene early to prevent poverty.
  • Are ambitious for the lives of their clients.
  • Find innovative ways to combat poverty.
  • Are working with people living in Britain.

Applications are open to small, grassroots charities and social enterprises with an annual turnover of less than £2 million.

The deadline to apply is 6 March 2023.

How To Apply

The deadline for applications to the 2023 awards is 6 March 2023.

There are two stages to the application process:

  • Stage one - a basic online application form to be completed by all applicants.
  • Stage two - shortlisted applicants will be invited to discuss their reach and impact in more depth.

The application form and full guidance notes can be found on the Centre for Social Justice website.
