Charities Invited to Apply for Support Packages Worth More Than £22,000.

Support Funding

01 December 2021/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Charities are being invited to apply for support packages worth more than £22,000.

The Weston Charity Awards 2022, run by the Garfield Weston Foundation with Pilotlight, which connects businesses and charities to make them both more effective, is offering unrestricted grants of £6,500 for up to 20 charities, plus 10 months’ free access to a leadership coaching programme run by Pilotlight worth an estimated £16,000.

Charities must have an annual income of less than £5m, have at least one full-time member of staff and work in the north of England, the Midlands or Wales to be eligible to apply.

Successful applicants will receive leadership mentoring from four senior professionals from private and public sector organisations as part of the award.

Philippa Charles, director of the Garfield Weston Foundation, said: “Now more than ever, charities are seeking support to ensure a robust strategic future. We know that although good charities are keen to spend time on long-term planning, they are often limited by resources and staffing, even more so during this period of economic recovery.

“Successful award-winners can receive the support needed to bounce back from Covid-19 and enhance their in-house leadership skills, establish long-term business plans and take their organisations to the next level of operations.”

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 7 January 2022.
