Commercialising Connected and Automated Mobility Supply Chain Competition Launched by IUK

Transport, Infrastructure & Communications

24 October 2022/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

UK registered organisations can access funding for projects to develop technologies and capabilities in the Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) supply chain.

Through this competition, Innovate UK (IUK) will invest in projects to develop Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM) technologies, products and services into commercial offerings to exploit early and medium term commercial markets in the UK and abroad.

The aim is to target early commercial self-driving vehicle opportunities and support the UK supply chain to grow and fill technology gaps necessary for their deployment.

Projects must strengthen the capabilities of the sovereign UK CAM supply chain. They must improve the safety and security of CAM, filling specific technology gaps, improving performance, reliability and scale-up opportunities in the UK and globally.

Up to £16 million has been allocated to fund industrial research, and experimental development projects. Funding will be in the form of a grant. Each project’s total grant funding request must be between £200,000 and £2 million.

This competition is open to collaborations only. To lead a project an organisation must be a UK registered business of any size. The lead must collaborate with at least one other UK registered organisation, which can be a business of any size, academic institution, charity, not-for-profit, public sector organisation, or research and technology organisation (RTO).

The deadline for applications is 11 January 2023.

How To Apply

Applications are open from 21 October 2022 until 11 January 2023.

Applications are made online at the Innovate UK website.
