Non-profit groups can now apply for grants to promote digital confidence across the UK
Administered by the Clarion Housing Group, Clarion Future Digital Grants are designed to address digital exclusion and support safe, confident internet use among residents.
Not-for-profit organisations including constituted community groups, registered charities, social enterprises and Community Interest Companies in the UK can apply as long as they can prove the majority of beneficiaries of the project will be Clarion residents.
Grants of £1,000 to £5,000 are on offer, and can be spent on:
- Connectivity (mobile and fixed).
- Training resources.
- Venue hire.
- Insurance.
- Event costs.
- Volunteer expenses.
- Refreshments for participants.
- Staffing costs.
- Publicity materials.
The Fund is primarily aimed at building digital skills and confidence, rather than teaching people how to use a computer.
Groups that can demonstrate an understanding of what is already going on in the community and the added value that their projects can bring will be given priority.
Applications must be submitted by 18 May 2022.
