Funding for listed and unlisted places of Christian worship in the UK to investigate or address small problems before they turn into large repairs.
The National Churches Trust supports and promotes places of worship of historic, architectural and community value used by Christian denominations throughout the UK.
Priorities for the Trust’s 2019-2023 Strategy are to:
- Preserve heritage.
- Promote sustainability.
- Inspire support.
UK places of worship of any Christian denomination and age may apply for grants of between £500 and £5,000.
The total project cost should not exceed £10,000 (excluding VAT), and match funding of at least 50% is required.
Grants can be used to cover:
- Urgent maintenance work
- Items identified as high priority within a Quinquennial Inspection Report/survey report or other sort of report.
- Small investigative works or surveys.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until 31 October 2022.
