Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

Small Grants for Businesses with Positive Impacts

Grants and business support are available to small businesses that wish to impact the world in a positive manner.

The aim of the Adnovar Base Camp Small Business Grant is to support small businesses in the UK that want to reach their potential and have a positive impact on the world.

Five grants of £1,000 each are available, coupled with six months’ free 1:1 support from a business mentor and a series of collaborative workshops.

Grants can be used for anything that can help a business reach its potential and have a positive impact on the world.

UK businesses that have been registered and trading as a limited company or sole trader for at least three months may apply. The business must employ fewer than 15 people.

Applications must be submitted by the deadline of 2 May 2022.
