Schools, colleges and universities in the UK can apply for funding for global opportunities for students. The 2022 funding round is due to open at the end of March.
Announced in December 2020, the Turing scheme will support UK students to take advantage of the benefits of studying and working abroad. The funding programme will look to target students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The fund replaces the Erasmus+ scheme in the UK and will fund thousands of global exchanges, including university study, school exchanges, and industry work placements.
This funding allows organisations to provide students, learners and pupils with the chance to develop new skills, gain vital international experience and boost their employability. They can also develop a wide range of soft skills, language skills and a better understanding of other cultures.
Funding opportunities are available for UK organisations in these sectors:
- Higher education (HE)
- Further education (FE) and vocational education and training (VET)
- Schools.
Eligible organisations can apply for funding for projects that offer the opportunity to study or gain work experience abroad for the 2022-23 academic year.
The online application portal will open to applications on 31 March 2022. The deadline for applications is 29 April 2022.
