Town Deal Board

In August 2019 Carlisle was selected as one of the 101 places selected to receive up to £25 million through the agreement of a Town Deal for Carlisle.

The first stage of this is the creation of a locally owned Town Investment Plan (TIP), agreed by the Town Deal Board (made up of key private and public sector organisations in Carlisle to lead on Carlisle’s Town Deal).

The minutes from the meetings and a draft of the Terms of Reference for the board are available below.

Help us build our growing City’ – Launch of new Prospectus

Carlisle is up for growth and open for business. We are a forward thinking and proactive city. A city that knows where it wants to be and has plans in place to get it there.

The private sector is valued and there is a commitment to partnership working. Strong local leadership prevails and there is a genuine appetite for innovation, flexibility and a can-do attitude.

Carlisle City Council has worked alongside Lichfields to develop a new Prospectus which highlights that there has never been a better time for developers to gain a foothold in Carlisle. We are keen to work with housebuilders and developers to bring sites forward to deliver Carlisle’s ambitious development targets.
