Disabled Badge Holders may park for up to a maximum of 3 hours free of charge. A clock disc must be clearly displayed set at the time of arrival along with a valid Disabled Person’s Badge. There is no return to the car park within one hour. For stays of over 3 hours the normal hourly charges apply.

We would like to take this opportunity to emphasise that all of the money made from the car parking charges, goes back to the tarn. For example the resurfacing of the car park was paid for with this money, and the money will be used for other similar projects in the future.

Volunteering Opportunities.

Carlisle Countryside Volunteer Team carry out practical conservation based activities at Talkin Tarn. This is a regular group of enthusiastic individuals who come along for a action packed fun day with like minded people.
