Open 4 Business Portal

Carlisle City Council is providing local businesses with free access to its local business support and grant portal provided by Open4Business. This is tailored for the Carlisle area and includes local, regional and national schemes.

Business can also search for funding relevant to their size and sector. To use the portal, you will first need to register with Open4Business.

UK Community Ownership Fund to Open for Round 2 on 10 June

Funding for charities and community groups across the UK who want to take ownership of, and save, local assets such as pubs, sports clubs, music venues, historic buildings, pubs, theatres and parks.

Expressions of Interest will be accepted from 10 June 2022.

Cultural Protection Fund Accepting Applications for Large Grants

A partnership between the British Council and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), The Cultural Protection Fund aims to create opportunities for social and economic development through building capacity to safeguard and promote cultural heritage overseas.

The deadline to apply is 23.59 on 30 June 2022.

Levelling Up Fund Opens Second Application Round

The £4.8 billion Levelling Up Fund will invest in local infrastructure that has a visible impact on people and their communities. This includes a range of high value local investment priorities, including local transport schemes, urban regeneration projects and cultural assets.

The second round of funding will open to applications on 31 May 2022 and will close on 6 July 2022 (12 noon).

Applications Open for Boiler Upgrade Scheme

Small non-domestic property owners, eg landlords and those with properties in the private sector, in England or Wales, may be eligible for money off low carbon heating technologies.

The scheme is now open for grant applications and payments. It will run from 2022 to 2025.

Heat Networks Fund Opens for 2022

Grants are available to support local authorities in England and Wales in overcoming early stage barriers to establishing Heat Networks.

Round 12 will accept applications until the deadline of 30 December 2022.

Biffa Award One-Off Grant

In 2023 Biffa Award celebrates its 25th birthday! To commemorate this landmark event, Biffa Award will be giving one lucky project a one-off grant of up to £2.5million.

Online expressions of interest are due by 15 June 2022.

Launch of £1m Fund to Boost Reusable Packaging

Applications must be submitted online by the deadline of 24 June 2022.

Government Announces £120m Future Nuclear Enabling Fund

Funding is being made available to help nuclear energy construction projects in the UK.

The Government aims to start awarding funding in the summer of 2022. Applications are likely to open in July and close in August 2022. Further details will be provided when available.

IUK Launches Energy Catalyst Round 9 Competitions

Innovate UK (IUK) has announced a call for applications to Round 9 of its Energy Catalyst Competitions. The objective of these competitions is to accelerate the innovations needed to create new or improved clean energy access in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia or Indo-Pacific regions. 

All three competition strands open on 18 May 2022. The deadline for applications is 10 August 2022 (11:00 BST).

£5m Fund to Help Improve Libraries in England

Funding available to enable library services across England to invest in a range of projects to upgrade buildings and technology.

Expressions of Interest will be accepted online from 23 May 2022 (9am). The deadline for submitting Expression of Interest forms is 27 June 2022 (12pm midday).

 

Cultural Development Fund to Reopen in June

Grants available to local partnerships to support transformative place-based creative and cultural initiatives across England, outside of London.

The Expression of Interest form will open on Arts Council England’s online grant management system, Grantium on 6 June 2022 (9am). The deadline for submitting Expressions of Interest is  29 July 2022 (12pm midday).

Applicants must register their interest in the fund before they may apply. Then, they will have until 20 June 2022 to complete the full application.

MOD Education Support Fund Opens to Applications

Sky Media’s £2m Sky Zero Footprint Fund Opens for 2022

Established by Sky as part of its campaign to be net zero carbon by 2030, the Sky Zero Footprint Fund will support brands that are committed to driving positive behavioural change and tangible impact towards a more sustainable future.

Stage One applications must be submitted by 8 June 2022.

May 2022 Deadline for Co-op Local Community Fund

Voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across the UK and Isle of Man can now apply for grants from the Co-op Local Community Fund, which allows Co-op members to support the projects they care most about.

The deadline to apply is midnight on 29 May 2022.
