CALL FOR SITES: 21 MARCH - 25 APRIL 2022

Carlisle City Council is currently inviting submissions for potential new development sites across the district. A ‘Call for Sites’ has started and will run for 6 weeks until 25 April 2022.

We are seeking land that could have the potential for new housing, employment, community uses, or gypsy and traveller accommodation. We are also welcoming submissions of sites that could have the potential for new habitat creation, that could help generate environmental net gain for the district.

If you want to submit a site, we will require the following information:

  • A map with a red line clearly showing the boundary and location of the site you wish to submit
  • A completed version of the form with all relevant questions answered where possible

We have put together a form to help collect the information we need to assess your site’s potential for development. Please try to answer the questions as fully as you can. If we can’t be sure that a site is suitable, available and achievable for development it is unlikely that we will be able to consider it further. If you are unable to supply a clear location plan we will not be able to take the site into consideration. The form can be downloaded below.

Site plans and completed forms can be emailed to us at [email protected] or sent via post to Planning Policy, Carlisle City Council, Civic Centre, Carlisle, CA3 8QG. Please ensure that they reach us before 5pm on 25 April 2022.
