Objectives of Fund
The Trust aim to support charities in the UK who are working in the areas of education and young people, communities, environment and conservation, health, arts and culture, international development, heritage, and the armed forces.
The Trust continues to accept applications from charities during the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak, and it is taking into account the current challenges many charities are dealing with as they respond to the pandemic.
Value Notes
The Trust generally makes grants of up to £5,000. Last year, the average grant value was £4,368.
Grants are usually for a one-year period.
There is a one in five success rate. Last year between 400 and 500 applications were received and of those, around 100 charities received funding.
Who Can Apply
Registered charities in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are eligible to apply.

Grants can be used to cover both core costs and specific project costs, but not large capital appeals.
How To Apply
The current round of applications will close on 30 April 2020. Applications should be submitted via the online form on the Schroder Charity Trust website.
The Trust have added a section to the application form which enables applicants to illustrate how they have been impacted by and how they are responding to the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic.
Charities who submitted an application prior to the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic may update their application by contacting the Trust with an explanation of the impact on the charity and how they are responding.
Applications will be reviewed in June 2020, and applicants can expect to receive a response shortly after.
