Funding for Organisations Supporting Children at Risk of Youth Violence

| Return|

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is providing the funding with the aim reaching and helping vulnerable children (aged 10-14) who are at risk of being drawn into crime and violence and who, as a result of coronavirus/COVID-19 and social distancing measures, may have lost the support they rely on.

Grants are intended to fund and evaluate work that can be delivered while adhering to UK government coronavirus/COVID-19 social distancing and stay-at-home guidelines, to establish what activities are effective in reaching and engaging vulnerable young people.

Applications are accepted from any legally constituted organisation delivering in England and Wales, including charities and social enterprises; for-profit companies; and public sector agencies, such as councils, schools, health, or police forces.

Half of the total funding will be reserved for charities and social enterprises, with grants of a minimum of £25,000 available for activities in the following two key areas:

  • Digital/virtual delivery of programmes, specifically:

    • Remote/digital/virtual delivery of programmes delivered on a one-to-one basis.

    • Remote/digital/virtual delivery of group-based programmes.

    • Remote/digital/virtual delivery of guided self-help or interactive content.

  • Face-to-face activity that can be delivered while adhering to social distancing/stay-at-home guidelines, specifically:

    • Face-to-face activity delivered within schools, including activities to help vulnerable young people return to school.

    • Face-to-face delivery of detached youth work.

Applications can be submitted at any time until the final deadline of 3 June 2020 (midday).
