Open 4 Business Portal

To support our businesses during the current COVID-19 crisis, and into the recovery phase, Carlisle City Council is providing free access to Open 4 Business. Open4Business is designed to support businesses locate relevant up to date funding opportunities.

The portal is updated regularly with new local, regional and national funding announcements and can be easily searched by businesses on the basis of their industry, region and business size. The portal then provides information on how to apply for funding and contact funders directly. To search for grants for your business you will first need to register on the Open4Business website

Background

The Healthy Heart Grants scheme is a result of a partnership between the Heart Research UK (HRUK) and the SUBWAY franchise. The money for the grants is raised by SUBWAY staff and customers through in-store fundraising and collection boxes located throughout the UK.

Objectives of Fund

The grants support new and innovative projects designed to promote heart health and to prevent or reduce the risks of heart disease in specific groups or communities.

Value Notes

Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available in each region.

In exceptional circumstances, where a project has a very strong heart element, applications may be considered from researchers.

Match Funding Restrictions

Part-funding of projects is acceptable.

Who Can Apply

Not-for-profit organisations in the UK are eligible to apply.

How to apply 

Applicants can find out which SUBWAY region their group is located in from the Heart Research UK website.

Application forms are available to complete online at the Heart Research UK website.

Payment Procedure

Grants will be paid quarterly in arrears against a comprehensive project report and an appropriate invoice.
