Open 4 Business Portal

To support our businesses during the current COVID-19 crisis, and into the recovery phase, Carlisle City Council is providing free access to Open 4 Business. Open4Business is designed to support businesses locate relevant up to date funding opportunities.

The portal is updated regularly with new local, regional and national funding announcements and can be easily searched by businesses on the basis of their industry, region and business size. The portal then provides information on how to apply for funding and contact funders directly. To search for grants for your business you will first need to register on the Open4Business website

National Lottery Awards

The 25th Birthday National Lottery Awards is the annual search to find the UK's favourite Lottery-funded projects and people. The Awards are a great way of celebrating the ordinary people doing extraordinary things with National Lottery funding.

This year, the Awards will reflect the National Lottery's 25 year legacy, giving a fantastic opportunity to celebrate projects and people who have benefitted from National Lottery funding over the last quarter of a century. If you’re receiving funding now or you received it in the past but no longer do, you are eligible to enter.

Nominations for The 25th Birthday National Lottery Awards are now open. Go to this link here to nominate yourself or one of your favourite projects!

Nominations close on the 30th April at midnight. National Lottery Awards winners will receive a £10,000 cash prize and national recognition at a glittering ceremony broadcast on BBC One in the Autumn.

  • Best Education Project.

  • Best Environment Project.

  • Best Health Project.

How To Apply

Entries for the 25th National Lottery Awards will be accepted from 11 March 2019 to 30 April 2019 (midnight).

Entry forms are available to complete online at the Awards website.
