Lloyds Bank Foundation’s New COVID Recovery Fund - NE & Cumbria specific guidance

03 August 2020/Categories: Grants_and_Funding

Between 3 August and 11 September Lloyds Bank Foundation is inviting charities with an income between £25,000 and £1m to apply for its COVID Recovery Fund which will award around 140 charities in England and Wales a two-year unrestricted grant of £50,000 alongside a Development Partner to help charities navigate a tumultuous future. This fund is open to charities that are helping people overcome complex social issues such as homelessness and domestic abuse. A minimum of a quarter of this funding will go to charities that are led by and for people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.

In the North East and Cumbria

  • due to existing investments, we won’t be open to applications for work with people with mental health problems, people with learning disabilities (except in Cumbria and Cleveland) and people experiencing sexual abuse and exploitation. Charities that already receive a grant from the Foundation will not be eligible to apply unless their funding ends in 2020.

  • The racial equity strand of the Fund will be open to charities that are led by and for people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities in Newcastle upon Tyne and in Middlesbrough.

  • Redcar is the community in the North East and Cumbria where we are working to support long term transformational change – as a result we are relaxing our eligibility criteria for charities there.

For further details go to https://www.lloydsbankfoundation.org.uk/we-fund and will be holding a Q&A webinar for charities with our grants team to talk through and answer questions about the fund on 11 August between 2 pm – 3.30 pm. Sign up for it at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/lloyds-bank-foundation-covid-recovery-fund-webinar-and-qna-tickets-114108439414
