The Museums Association has launched a new programme to enable museums and galleries to explore and scale-up digital innovation projects.
The Digital Innovation and Engagement Fund will offer one-year grants of between £25,000 and £50,000 to support novel ways of reaching and engaging with new and existing audiences, which the museums sector has developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eligible organisations include museums, galleries, heritage sites, other sector bodies and related organisations, libraries and archives, and commercial companies that provide products and/or services to museums.
Applicants, or lead applicants in a partnership, must be institutional members of the Museums Association and must be Accredited museums (or formally working towards Accreditation, or able to demonstrate equivalent long-term care of and access to their collections).
Expressions of Interest should be submitted by the deadline of 21 December 2020.
How To Apply
Interested museums are advised to contact the Museum Association to discuss eligibility prior to submitting an Expression of Interest form. Shortlisted applications will be invited to make a second stage application.
