Heritage Fund Extends Deadline to its Dynamic Collections Campaign

Funding to involve a wider range of people in heritage and promote public engagement with collections.

Museums (accredited and non-accredited), archives, historic libraries and community organisations which hold collections across the UK now have until 24 April 2023 to apply for up to £250,000 in Lottery funding to help build resilience in the heritage sector.

The deadline for applications to the Dynamic Collections has been extended from 31 March 2023 to 24 April 2023.

Natural England Announces Species Recovery Capital Grant Scheme

Grant funding is available to organisations and businesses in England to deliver species recovery projects.

The Species Recovery Programme Capital Grant Scheme is being launched by Natural England. The scheme will run over two financial years (2023/24 and 2024/25).

Vehicle-to-everything Innovation: IUK Launches Bi-directional Charging Demonstrations Competition

Global Award for Female Photographers Opens for 2023

New National Influencing Grants from Lloyd’s Bank Foundation

Forestry Commission Opens Tree Production Innovation Fund for 2023

Improving Outcomes Through Legal Support Fund Open for Applications

Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust Releases Funding Schedule for 2023/24

Initial details of the Trust’s grants programme for the coming year are now available to allow groups to start planning their applications. The schedule features several existing schemes which have been refreshed to reflect ongoing economic challenges and the level of need in Armed Forces communities.

Deadline Approaching for Eurovision 2023 and King’s Coronation Funding

Groups have two weeks left to apply to the National Lottery Awards for All programme if they are seeking funding to celebrate the Coronation (5 to 8 May 2023) or Eurovision (9 to 13 May 2023) in England.

The deadline for Coronation or Eurovision funding is 24 March 2023 (midnight).

New Round of Museum Estate and Development Fund Open to Applications

Grants available to non-national Accredited museums to undertake vital infrastructure and urgent maintenance backlogs which are beyond the scope of day-to-day maintenance budgets.

Arts Council England (ACE), supported by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), is providing this open-access capital fund targeted at non-national Accredited museums and local authorities based in England to apply for funding to undertake vital infrastructure and urgent maintenance backlogs which are beyond the scope of day-to-day maintenance budgets.  

Expressions of interest must be submitted by the deadline of 21 April 2024 (midday).

Dates Announced for Healthy Hearts Grants 2023

Funding to help prevent or reduce the risk of heart disease in the UK.

Funding is for new projects that work with communities to prevent heart disease, particularly for vulnerable and isolated groups of individuals who are at an increased risk of developing heart problems in the future.

New Fund to Support Vulnerable Children and Young People Outside the Home

Funding available for local authority partnerships in England and Wales to test specialist neighbourhood teams to support children, young people and their families who are vulnerable to violence or criminal exploitation outside the home.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is an independent charitable trust run by Impetus, in partnership with the Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) and Social Investment Business (SIB). It aims to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

Applications must be submitted by the deadline of 16 May 2023 (5pm).

Large Grants for Structural Repairs of Churches and Chapels

National churches Trust has launched its new Large Grants programme (formerly known as Cornerstone Grants) to support structural repairs and maintenance issues costing more than £100,000 or the installation of kitchen and accessible toilets costing over £30,000.

Postcode Trust Opens 3 April for North and East of England (Brief Application Window)

Funded by the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, the Postcode Trusts offer grants of between £500 and £25,000 to not-for-profit organisations with an income of less than £1 million in the most recent financial year.

The first round opens for applications at 10am on 3 April 2023 for a minimum of 24 hours.

IOP Public Engagement Grant Scheme – One More Month to Apply

The Institute of Physics (IOP) provides grants for physics engagement projects that align with IOP’s Limit Less campaign. Innovate UK Launches UK Battery Industrialisation Centre SME Credit Competition

Through this competition, Innovate UK (IUK) will support research and development for the scale-up of battery technologies within the UK, conducted by small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Launch of New Local Electric Vehicle Capability Fund

Electricity Northwest Accepting Applications for Partnership Fund

Through the Partnership Fund, a total of £1.75 million is available for organisations to help identify and support households that may need extra support during a power cut, such as those with medical dependencies, children under the age of five, or those of pensionable age.

Funding for Armed Forces Day Events 2023 – Deadline Reminder

Since 2009, Armed Forces Day has been marked annually throughout the UK with events large and small. The Ministry of Defence provides funding each year to support groups and individuals to commemorate the occasion.

UK Government’s £150m Community Ownership Fund – Third Bidding Window Now Open

The £150 million Community Ownership Fund aims to support charities and community groups across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to take ownership of assets which are at risk of being lost to the community. It will run for four years (until 2024/25) with three bidding windows per year.

The deadline for expressions of interest to the third window of Round two is 24 March 2023 with the deadline for full applications on 14 April 2023.

Association of Independent Museums Announce 2023 Application Rounds

AIM (the Association for Independent Museums) has renewed funding for the Audit, Collections Care and Remedial Conservation grant schemes for a further three years.

Education Endowment Foundation Launches Spring 2023 Funding Round

Grants to Help UK Councils Tackle Chewing Gum Disposal

Government Launches Nuclear Test Veteran Community Fund

Provided by the Office for Veterans’ Affairs, the £200,000 Nuclear Test Veteran Community Fund is offering grants of up to £70,000, with an option to apply for a grant of up to £100,000.

Applications will be accepted from 15 February 2023 to 10 March 2023 (23:59).

Magic Little Grants to Open for Applications on 1 March

LocalGiving has announced that it will launch its annual Magic Little Grants scheme for the sixth year in a row with more money than last year.

Nokia Bell Labs Prize for Global Tech Innovators Launched for 2023

Funding to Promote and Develop Endangered Heritage Crafts Across UK
